Extended Experience!

The difference between learning FileMaker Pro (or any database tool) and software such as Microsoft Word is that you pretty much already know what you are going to do with Word. School taught us to write; college, university and business training taught us how to write letters, reports, memos, etc. Our maths education helped with Excel and PowerPoint allows our artistic side to be aired.

However, although FileMaker Training will help you understand the capabilities of the software, it is unlikely you have received advice on the best way to structure your relational database, or how to compile complex scripts to build an application - remember, the easier a database system is to use, the more background development effort has gone into it.

The more experienced you become, the less necessary FileMaker Assistance will be. But even then, it is comforting to know you're not necessarily on your own.
